Protesters Call Out Sen. Perdue

Protesters gathered in front of Senator David Perdue’s Atlanta district office today to protest the nomination of Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education. DeVos, with no experience in public education, no experience in managing a large governmental agency, and a vocal opponent of many of the things the Department of Education is designed to do, is widely considered a singularly unqualified candidate for the post. Nevertheless, it appears Perdue (who has said he “unconditionally supports” Trump) will vote to approve, as now has Sen Johnny Isakson.

Georgians vow to continue to try to resist the loss of the representative form of government.
